downton abby-love it. re watching season two as i post this. seeing the biltmore was even more enjoyable because i had been watching this! season 1 is on netflix. season 2 is on sale at costco or online or via netflix mail service.
just read the second book in the divergent trilogy. it was good. not as good as the first though. still worth the read. if you liked hunger games, you'll like this trilogy.
also read graceling. LOVED it. started on the second companion novel on audio book. i actually started reading graceling and realized it would take me weeks to finish it, so i bought the book using my credit on audible.com. i have the basic membership which gives me one audio book credit per month. if you love to read but have a hard time finding time to sit with a book, this is a great deal. i listen to audio books in the car, while cleaning the house, and when i work out (ha, i'm a little embarrassed to write that at present, but it has been true at some point in my life). audible also has an iphone app, so your book can be downloaded on to your phone.
still working 25 hours a week. with friday's off, i've had a little more time with family. it's been nice. we went to visit grandma audrey for her birthday and had a grand ol' time. when tag got out of the car he ran straight to the golf cart. "riiiiii" (ride). then followed cats to the back porch where he found the bird baths filled with water to play in. before long, he spotted grandma's john deere. he disoriented her house and yard quite a bit, and some how we even managed to steal her favorite comb... but it was a fun trip to "tuckahoe hill"!
we've spent more and more time with our buds hudson and coen lately. It's fun to see them communicating with one another! both these boys are kind of enamored with story, too. they love to help put her paci in or tuck in her blanket. hopefully they won't have issues with a girl playmate next year!
if i had a spare 3 hours, i'd do something about this danger zone. we need like, 3 more bookshelves because this isn't the only overflowing space in our house!
currently i'm listening to the bible via my You version bible app. it's fascinating, and makes the bible come alive in a new way. try it! also on the same app, i'm reading the soul detox devotion with SheReadsTruth#. it's been really cool and i hope it keeps going for a long time. i need all the motivation i can get to be in the word. i don't know why though... it's so refreshing!
i'm counting my calories. kind of. i'm hoping that maybe if i post this, some other people will download this app and befriend me on that app and hold me accountable. the app is called myfitnesspal. each day i put in my calories. well... each day starting tomorrow, i'll put in all my calories (including my secret spoonfuls of nutella) and hopefully make some more headway in busting this baby gut. B has used this and he is shapin' right up. i downloaded it and used it for the first month or two after story was born. it really made me realize what an over eater i am! i put in meals that i make for B so he knows what he is eating-- you put in the ingredients and it tells you the per serving calorie count.
also, B showed me this other app, get running, which has a fun little running training plan. it is kind of like the treadmill on your phone. you can choose a plan and it will tell you when to walk, when to run, when to cool down, etc. i think it tells you calories burned and stuff too! also, it will come in over your music or books while you run/walk.
i got a membership to the durham Y and went once and then got run down with allergies and exhaustion. i plan to start again this week, but i'm sitting here, writing this post, unable to breathe through my nose and my face hurts a bit, so here's hoping i can figure out the right combination of allergy/sinus medicines soon!
PS: what are the purposes for sinuses anyway??? i wish they could be removed!! i'd take mine out in a heartbeat
