What's crazy? Summer is almost over. Time is flying by.
This photo was taken from Tag's last day at 2 year old pre-school. He had just had his cast taken off (the second spidy cast) and was mostly crawling around or being carried around the park. Once he got to a structure, he'd climb around with the other kids. It was kind of funny, kind of sad. But he had a blast, and he didn't care what anyone thought! I love that.
Tag's teachers this year were Mrs. Lowder and Mrs. Alkins. They loved Tag almost as much as he loved them. I have to love these two women who so willingly changes my kid's gross diapers, put up with his wild antics which landed him in a cast, and who dealt patiently with his tantrums and fits. I know Tag, and I am sure he also gave many sweet hugs and loves and provided his share of hilarious entertainment, but still... it's a good feeling to know your kids are with people who cherish them. I hope we are as blessed every year!
We've had a few afternoons spent playing with neighbors. This is Katrina holding Story. Katrina and her brother JR come by to play on the porch and enjoy popsicles every now and again. They usually come out to play around when our kids are nearing bath time, but occasionally they'll come early enough that we can play.
We've spent time with all the grandparents (grandma, grandaddy, grams, grandpa, mimi, and papa)... including sleepovers! It took me a while to get behind sending my kids off since the weekends are OUR family time, but after Mexico, I'm sold. HA! The kids have gone off about one weekend a month all summer long. We're blessed to have parents who are able and willing to enjoy our kids so often.
Tag enjoying the freedom of life in the country at grandma's house...
We've enjoyed birthday parties! Below is Story at Hud's party. It's crazy to see her sitting with the big kids... but I guess that's what she is now?!
Tag and Coen swimming for Coen's birthday. Tag loved this so much, and I look forward to future summers full of swimming with friends... once everyone can safely swim!
Tag and Story are water babies. They want to play in water any chance they get. This is a photo I snapped from my window while I worked. Miss Molly had taken them out side to play one sunny morning.
My fearless girl taking a break from giving mom a heart attack. This child has no fear of water... I look forward to the time when she can do swim lessons, like real ones.
Tag has no fear of water either, but we knew that right?
Tag and Story on their way to summer PMO (2 mornings a week for Tag, 1 morning for SK). It was SK's first day, and she did so well. Poor child had 2 ear infections this summer, so there were a few days of early pick ups.
This was such a nice get away for us at 4th of July. We didn't do ANYTHING. Papa and Mimi would take the kids for walks or to feed the horses and I got to take a nap every day. Like 2 hours at a time. How awesome is that!!!!!??? Story loved swinging on the swing and Tag loved playing in the creek nearby.
How dreamy is my husband??? And Thankfully he passed on his good looks to my kiddos. LUCKY woman, I am.
