i took friday off and went to richmond to hang out with my best friends from college. i lived with cat and julie for 3 and a half years in college so it was so amazing to be apart of cat's wedding. friday morning julie and i scooped up her dad's GPS and made our way to cat's bridal luncheon in richmond. after the luncheon julie, lauren, and i (lauren is another best friend from college) went shopping and just caught up, while cat spent time with her family. lauren was a few weeks away from moving to capetown, south africa to work on the 2010 world cup, so we had lots of exciting things to talk about. thanks to the gps we found a great mexican restaurant to have dinner and drinks at called Nacho Mamas. this weekend made me desperately want a gps. i never knew what i was missing!
later that evening cat came back from dinner with her family and we had a "sleep-over" like evening hanging out and enjoying cat's last night of singleness. the next morning we made breakfast (cinnamon buns & oj) and tried really hard to keep cat calm. of course she was nervous but the entire day ended up being wonderful. the wedding was at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Richmond, and the reception was at the Landmark Theatre.
