Corwin "Tag" Cobb

I can't believe that in 9 short months I went from this...

To this...

But I'm pretty sure that it's the greatest thing that ever happened to me. ever!

Tag was born on August 23, 2010 at 7:06pm at Duke University Hospital. He weighed 9.1 lbs and was delivered the good ol' fashioned way after 21 hours of contractions, water breaking, an epidural, some pushing, pitocin, and more pushing... then the real pushing. You know, the kind it takes to get a 9.1 oz baby out?! Thankfully, I had lots of support (Brentley, My Doula and friend, Dawn, and my Mom) and a waiting room full of family that sat there from 7am to 9pm and weren't even allowed to see Tag because of visiting hours! I had the best doctor ever. Seriously, if you're in the Durham area and want an ob doctor recommendation--Holla!! My stay in the hospital was awful though... but I think because Brentley and I just hate hospitals and because rest is just plain impossible when you've got doctors, nurses, visitors, photographers, social workers making you watch the purple crying video, etc. coming in your room every other hour. But once we got home things improved exponentially, and we've enjoyed every second since.

As many of you know, Tag had a problem with his kidney in utero and we were hoping it would be gone by the time he was born. The condition hasn't disappeared, but we're keeping an eye on it with Pediatric Urologists at Duke. They seem hopeful it will continue to improve and will not need any additional attention. Thanks everyone for your prayers for Tag's Kidney. I pray that soon I'll be able to write a post about how God has healed it!
