Chrissie Salad

I call this lovely lunch a Chrissie Salad.  My dear friend Chrissie made this for me several years ago, and I crave it at the first sight of strawberries in spring!  It's so good and so simple.

My neighbor grew these greens
There are chunks of sharp cheddar cheese (but colby jack works well too).
Fresh strawberries, and cucumber.  I didn't have any meat (deli ham, turkey, or chicken) on hand, but that's always a nice addition too.  This delicious salad gets topped by a good honey mustard dressing, and then it's promptly devoured.

Do y'all ever get a little confused on what to put together for a great salad?  Usually, I work backwards by deciding what dressing I want first.  But I get really caught up when it's time to choose the cheese with the dressing.  Or when to add apples vs. cranberries vs. raisins.  Then what nuts go with what fruit?  argh!  That's why I love to keep it simple with this one salad I always know I'll love.
